Not only is it warm at the Equator at night you have the best of both Hemispheres! If you look to the left of the couple sitting on the log you can see our Northern Constellation, the Big Dipper. If you look to the right of the fire (why do they need a fire on the beach at the Equator? Seriously!) You can see the Southern Cross which is the constellation those in the Southern Hemisphere use to guide them at night. Wowza! That is something I never really thought about! That bright triangle of dots are Mars, Antares and Saturn. Antares is the tip of the triangle. Another Wowza! If we set a camera up on a tripod and took pictures over a period of time we would get something like this! So awesome! Looks like we are looking into a vortex instead of the North Star...or is this the South Star?.... Can you even comprehend what is happening here? I know, Wowza!
