Today we learned how water is purified at the Dan A Christiansen Water Treatment Plant in Orem, Utah. What a great field trip! We saw the whole process in person, up close and personal. What was your favorite part? I liked the purification room where they had all the chemicals and the rainbow pipes above our head that tells the engineers which chemical is in each pipe. To me that seemed like such a simple solution compared to the mind blowing other machinery we got to see. Water from the Deer Creek Reservoir goes to the Provo River and then into the treatment plant! So cool! Out with the old (pipe) and in with the new, bigger and better Olmstead Aqueduct Pipeline near Bridal Veil Falls, Provo, Utah for Central Utah Water Conservancy. I hope this trip was a good start to a wonderful spring break! Have a great time doing all that you want to do!
