This is a photo of the Curiosity Rover taking a selfie with the "Mojave Desert" behind it. I am always amazed at how "earth-like" Mars appears. Well, there aren't any trees, bushes or flowers, grass, weeds or other life forms that we see everyday, but I could imagine being in a place like that on the Earth. How about the salt flats around Wendover? (This is a Mars photoshop...) This is a field of meteorites. What is a meteorite? Hmmmm? Some X-files believers think that this is an alien sarcophagus....I see layers of rocks that could only be made by water levels rising and falling....like sedimentary rocks we can find on Earth... Definitely looks like Wendover! Again look at those layers of rocks, there must have been some kind of liquid to create that kind of layering.
If you're curious about seeing more pictures from the Mars Rover Curiosity, go to nasa.gov and search for "curiosity" and you will be amazed like me how "earth-like" Mars really is.
