Even though you feel safe sleeping at night, you need to know that billions of meteoroids are falling to Earth every day. The meteoroid the size of 32 feet fell to earth. It hit just above the Antarctica. It produced 745 tons of dust during the crash. Meteoroids are the pieces of debris, dust and rock from the comets, asteroids and moons. Meteoroids are just that, rocks in space who hang out around the Earth until they are pulled in to the Earth's atmosphere and get pulled in. Once they are pulled in they are not a meteoroid anymore... There aren't many pictures of a meteoroid because nobody wants to meet one, they go really fast and could cause quite a bump or bruise.... Meteors and meteorites are much more interesting because we can see them and pick them up! I'll save that for next week! Happy Weekend!!
