in the Universe, energy and matter are the building blocks to worlds, suns and other things we haven't discovered yet. Matter is the “stuff” of the universe — the atoms, molecules and ions that make up all physical substances. Matter is anything that has mass and takes up space. Energy is the ability to cause change. Energy cannot be created or destroyed; it can only be conserved and converted from one form to another. Energy and matter are really the same thing. ... So in a way, energy, matter, space and time are all aspects of the same thing. Why is matter and energy important? Matter can be stored. A property that matter shares with energy is that it is conserved. Matter stores energy: Atoms and molecules represent stored energy. The type of energy most important to sustaining life is the chemical energy stored in food. This is an amazing phenomenon that energy can be stored in matter, then transferred to something else! Because matter can store energy there are so many cool things that we can do! Why is it important for us to know what matter is? Matter is very important because it makes up everything around you; matter can not be created or destroyed it is just transformed into a different form. You and I and the whole world are made of matter, and live and move by using energy.
Don't worry, we will have time to explore this phenomenon. We are going to observe this phenomenon carefully and try to get our hands on some experiments that will help us get a better understanding of all this matter and energy stuff.

Who saw the grammar mistake at the very beginning? I was tempted to tell Mr. Scheerer but he said your blog doesn't count. Anywho, how was everybody's weekend? My dog ate my favorite chicken today and we were having chicken for dinner... Long story short, it wasn't very appetizing... Oh well. To lighten dinner up, we sang primary songs my dad (bishop) didn't know that well and we sang the song word by word. When it was my dad's turn, he made something up and it was always hilarious!!!
