Space. The final frontier. Go where no man has gone before. These are famous words from James T. Kirk the captain of the USS Enterprise from the Star Trek Series created in the 1960's. Back then people were enthralled with the fiction of space travel. Today, some short years later we are enjoying real space exploration! This brief timeline of space exploration doesn't mention nearly all of the work, questions, tests and experiments scientists have created to further space exploration. The planets have always attracted imaginations as people look up and wonder if there is life on other planets? Is there any life closer to us? Could aliens be our friends or our enemies? As you study the planets you will find very interesting information that will help you ask more questions and let your imagination flow. Just like the series Star Trek, everyone thought it was fiction, but we have an international space station now, and the capability to send rockets into space then turn them around and land them safely on the ground. You will learn about the great spot on Jupiter. Sometimes it grows and rages, other times it fades and nearly disappears. The poles on Saturn are shaped like hexagons. Dust devils on Mars. One million Earth's could fit in the rings of Saturn. There is a big storm raging on Neptune. The weird tilt of Uranus. This may have occurred when a large planet sized object crashed into Uranus. We are very blessed to live on such a beautiful place, our Earth, and we are surrounded by wondrous things everyday. Never take these things for granted!

Our solar system is so amazing and extraordinary and amazing to learn about and I'm so sad that I can't go back to science until Monday but at least now I can go and sleep in until 12:30 everyday until Monday the most unlucky day of the week!

since titan is a lot like earth then that means we could have alien life form closer to earth then we thought. on the other hand there could have been alien life at one point on titan. if there was alien life on titan then that means the aliens most likely found a way to block the signals that the satellites emit so they would not be found. maybe they could have all died off if their technology wasn't greater than or equal to to the tech we have on earth right now. with the knowledge we all ready have NASA should be able to send probes with sample retrieving, a 10 TB, with a compartment for little space crafts to keep track of titan and to compare earths atmosphere and titans atmosphere and to see if titan can absorb heat to keep it as long as earth can keep heat and if titan absorb heat faster than so titan can just like earth.

Mrs. TaylorI love science! Everything about the world is interesting and never boring. I love to study plants, animals, insects, and people. My favorite subjects are my students who are the most unique organisms on the planet! Categories |
