Everyone is asking: "What is on the test?" Well, if you are reading this and you are a faithful reader of this blog, you will know what is on the test! 1. Know the positions of the Earth-Moon-Sun during a solar and lunar eclipse. 2. Be able to describe the Moon, its physical features, what does it look like from Earth, and when you are on the moon. 3. Know how long it takes the Earth to revolve around the sun. Know how long it takes the moon to revolve around the sun. 4. Know how the phases of the moon are caused by. 5. Know what causes day and night. 6. Have an idea of what the Sun, Moon and Earth look like from space. 7. Know your directions: North, South, East and West. 8. Be able to describe the moon phases, specifically. 9. Be able to read a description of a moon phase and know which one it is. 10. Be able to draw accurate diagrams of the phases from Earth's point of view and space's point of view. 11. You should know what revolving and rotating mean. ...And that should do it. If you understand all those concepts, the test will be pretty easy. No worries! In 6th grade if you don't like how your test turned out you can take them again, and again, and again...until you are satisfied. We are learning how tests work and taking tests helps us get better.
