My favorite activity on Christmas Eve day is to play with NORAD. This site is wonderful for tracking Santa and his course across the world. This all started in 1955, with a misprint in a Colorado Springs newspaper and a call to Col. Harry Shoup's secret hotline at the Continental Air Defense Command, now known as NORAD. What is NORAD? It is a military operation that can track any kind of missile coming toward the United States. In the 1950's this department of the military was created to keep the United States from being bombed by another country with possibly an atomic bomb. From this department came the idea that if they could track missiles, then they could track Santa, and that is what they have been doing ever since. Go to this site: https://www.noradsanta.org on Christmas Eve and watch for yourself. There are lots of activities to do while you are waiting and I guarantee you will be the favorite brother or sister or cousin in your whole family! Make sure you visit all the activities on the NORAD site, it really is pretty cool!
Merry Christmas to you all and have a very fun, restful, exciting time. I'll see you January 2nd! I know you'll miss seeing me everyday, but what can I say?

I was really bored this morning so I went to the blog and I tried NORAD and it is so much fun. Thank you so much Mrs.Taylor for teaching me so much and explaining to me things that I would never ever understand. Thanks also for the blog and with the help before the test and all the help and guidance that you have given us. Once again thank you so much! I love you as my Science teacher and I can't wait to come back from break (even though most peoples brains will be nothing but slush)! Merry Christmas and a Happy new year! Have a nice break everybody (don't forget ur reading logs!)
